Brittany J. Kirby was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and currently resides outside of Washington, D.C. She is an alumna of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She enjoys creating stories that reflect Black American culture.

At this time she is currently working on a Master of Fine Art; at the Academy of Art University. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Interior Architecture.
